“All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players”
—William Shakespeare | As You Like It
I began studying Homeopathy after moving to the Forres area in 1989, completing my Diploma School of Homeopathy (DSH) in 1994. In 1995 I became Registered with the Society of Homeopaths (RSHom) which continued until I took a break from practice in 2005. In 2000 I completed a further two years diploma course with the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathy (PCH). Between 1999 and 2005 I worked as one of the two NHS Homeopathic Outpatient Providers subcontracted by Highland NHS, at the end of which I resigned to take a well earned and complete break from homeopathy. During this eighteen months I followed my interest in acting and writing. I feel that this period of creative work has strongly influenced the way I perceive the healing journey, and has deepened my work as a therapist significantly. I devised the name ‘HomeoTherapy’ to reflect my belief that the therapeutic element of the consultations is as important as the Classical Homeopathy. Being now of retirement age, I work part time, and take care to keep my professional life in balance with time for creative writing.
As long as I continue to work as a therapist I am committed to continuing professional development. Over the last six years this has been focussed towards integrating the Sensation Method of Homeopathic Practice devised by Dr Sankaran and his associates, and more latterly studying with Drs S and B Joshi. I am extremely grateful for the work that these homeopaths have done to improve our skills as homeopathic practitioners. I am currently focalising a peer study group with other professional homeopaths from the North of Scotland to bring this work to the local area through the homeopaths who already practise here.
My earlier life involved Agricultural training and work both in UK and abroad, in Uganda and Israel. My BSc(Hons) degree in Biological Sciences contributes a useful background knowledge to my practitioning work. And, of course, I bring to all of this the rich and full experience of being both a wife and mother, and in latter years seeing through an amicable separation and divorce.
Life has been very full so far, and my work as HomeoTherapist continues to develop myself and, hopefully, my clients.

Patient testimonials:
“Vivien asks the same questions as everyone else does and then goes a level deeper”
“You give me the space and time to magnify and reflect where I’m at in my life and take a snapshot of what’s going on.”
“I was trying to deal with heavy emotional issues. After the initial consultation I was already feeling much lighter and freer, without the sudden emotional outbursts that I had previously had when thinking about the situation.”
“I found your ‘forensic interrogation’ approach extremely helpful. I felt that we went on an exciting and surprisingly deep journey in a very short time. We rapidly came to what was, for me, an extraordinary realisation of a fundamental pattern which has been running my entire life. I left your consulting room with a lightness of step which is I still have.”
